Adapt Community Solutions provides 24/7 crisis hotline and mobile crisis services. Adapt works closely with law enforcement, hospitals, social service agencies, schools, mental health agencies and substance abuse providers to ensure that individuals in crises receive the intervention most appropriate to address their needs.
Emergency and Crisis Services
Crisis Assessment and Intervention
Adapt offers telephone and face-to-face mental health services aimed at assisting individuals or families in understanding and successfully resolving mental health crisis situations. Staff is available on-call at all hours, days, nights and weekends to address the problems of consumers in crisis with the goals being immediate crisis resolution, deflection from hospitalization, linkage with needed resources and maintenance of current community placement.
Crisis Hot Line
Adapt operates a call center 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, providing emergency mental health services, including suicide intervention and prevention. This service is available in the Dallas, Texas area in a 7-county area commonly referred to as NorthSTAR (a managed care behavioral health program for residents of Collin, Dallas, Ellis, Hunt, Kaufman, Navarro and Rockwall counties).
Mobile Crisis Outreach Teams
Teams of highly-trained mental health professionals provide crisis assessment and intervention services in both rural and urban settings. This service is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, in the Dallas, Texas area in a 7-county area commonly referred to as NorthSTAR (a managed care behavioral health program for residents of Collin, Dallas, Ellis, Hunt, Kaufman, Navarro and Rockwall counties).
Family Education and Consultation
Adapt seeks to involve family and other essential natural supports in the assessment and intervention of persons in crisis. Persons with mental health problems do better when families understand the nature of their loved ones' mental health challenges and what they can do to support them most effectively.
Suicide Prevention
Suicide prevention encompasses the efforts in raising community awareness, consultation to family and direct services with consumers. These services are aimed at identifying and providing services for persons who are at high risk for suicidal behavior.
Emergency/Crisis Services Interagency Collaboration and Consultation
Adapt works with and coordinates services with other agencies and organization in the process of dealing with emergency/crisis services and in the prevention of suicides, including law enforcement, hospitals, and mental health and substance abuse providers.
