Resiliency & Disease Management
Adapt's services are tailored to provide "services when you need them, where you need
them". Services conform to the State of Texas Resiliency and Disease Management guidelines and are categorized as follows:
Medication Training
Using TIMA curricula, training focuses on assisting an individual in:
- understanding the nature of severe and persistent mental illness;
- understanding the role of prescribed medications in reducing symptoms and increasing or maintaining the functioning;
- identifying and managing the symptoms and potential side-effects of the medication;
- learning the contraindications of medication;
- understanding the overdose precautions of medication; and
- learning self-administration of medication.
