Project Recovery
Project Recovery is an
organization wide initiative to shift Adapt of Texas to a recovery oriented provider of services for people with significant mental illness.
Recovery is based in the vision and hope that all people with mental illness can recover. The precepts inherent in a recovery oriented mental health organization include self determination, genuine relationships between professionals and the people receiving services, consumer involvement in organization decisions as well as consumer directed service delivery.
Through Project Recovery, Adapt of Texas developed diversely represented planning teams from each clinic. Administrators, caseworkers, consumers and intake specialists are all represented on these team to
address specific activities to develop peer support services, identify training needs for staff and consumers and evaluate the progress of these activities.
Initial planning meetings yielded a Recovery
Statement which serves as a catalyst to define Adapt of Texas' recovery activities.
