Ms. Janicak is the Executive Director for Adapt of Illinois, Inc. She oversees administrative and clinical day-to-day
operations of multiple nursing home and community-based psychiatric rehabilitation programs.
Ms. Janicak began employment with Adapt in 1992 and was instrumental in the initial start-up and development of the Illinois programs, which entailed deinstitutionalization of persons from state operated facilities. Additional programs have since been added that offer the least possible restrictive housing options for persons with serious mental illness. The Adapt of Illinois programs have been accredited by CARF since 1997. Ms. Janicak has extensive experience in the field of mental health and has previously held positions in psychological assessment and residential treatment. Ms. Janicak holds a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Illinois State University and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois.
