Basic to Adapt's philosophy is a belief that almost every person with a psychiatric disability can live successfully in
the community if enough of the right services are in place to support that person.
We believe empowerment, self-esteem, self-determination and mutual support are essential to a client's well-being and ability to achieve successful community living.
Adapt's mission is to provide the highest quality psychiatric rehabilitation services to persons for whom traditional
methods of treatment and rehabilitation have not been sufficient.
Adapt employees shall attempt to ensure that every person and every organization we encounter experiences interactions
that reflect our Philosophy and Mission. In doing such, we adhere to these service principles:
- All clients have the capacity to learn and grow.
- All clients are treated with respect and dignity. No one is labeled or discriminated against.
- Clients have the right to choose and direct their own affairs.
- Adapt assessments and services are designed to address the unique needs of each individual in everyday community life.
- Psychiatric rehabilitation interventions build on the strengths of each client to facilitate the process of recovery
and reintegration into community life.
- Adapt staff develop the skills and the sensitivity to deliver services congruent with the values and diversity of
each client receiving services.
- Access to Adapt services is available as long as needed.
- Adapt works in partnership with clients, families and support networks.
- Adapt staff constantly strive to improve the services which they provide.
